REPTON School is celebrating an excellent set of GCSE results with more than a quarter (26.7 per cent) of entries awarded an A* and 62.1 per cent graded A* or A.
Making a significant contribution to the A* total were Emily Winson-Bushby from Belper and Charmaine Tam, who each achieved a dozen passes at the highest grade.
Excellent results were achieved also by Year 10 students who took their Maths GCSE a year early, with a significant number gaining the top grades.
Head teacher Robert Holroyd said: “Once again our GCSE pupils have excelled in their studies and we are delighted for them. These superb results see them well prepared to go on to succeed in whatever they have chosen to do next.
“Our GCSE pupils and all of our staff who have taught, supported and cared for them deserve congratulations for their hard work and dedication. They should all feel very proud of what has been achieved.”
