BURTON Albion were held goalless by visitors Wycombe Wanderers at half-time at the Pirelli Stadium tonight.
Gary Rowett rang the changes following Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Scunthorpe, with the injured Marcus Holness and Jimmy Phillips replaced by the returning Sharps and new signing Callum McFadzean - who made his debut.
Alex MacDonald and Lee Bell also dropped out of the starting XI, with Adam McGurk and David Gray coming in.
And it was McGurk who had the best chances of the half, firing over when well-placed and then seeing a great shot from a tight angle hit the far post.
Both chances were set up by strike partner Billy Kee, who also saw a header saved by Chairboys keeper Matt Ingram.
