NETHERSEAL St Peter’s continued their bright start to the ZAFIRE YOUTH LEAGUE DIVISION ONE season with a crushing 7-2 win over Belvedere Park under-17s.
The village side followed up their 9-2 opening day victory against Anglesey Swifts and top the table.
Trafford Pickering (2), Max Atkin (2), Harry Bourne, Ryan Jones and Alex Townsend found the net for Netherseal, while Jamie Disney grabbed a brace for Belvedere, who were reduced to 10 men after the dismissal of Josiah Bennett.
Newhall Cougars are level on points with Netherseal after picking up their second win of the season, 5-1 at home to Belvedere Park under-18s at Donisthorpe’s Ramscliffe Avenue playing fields.

BARTON Rovers Hercules have scored 12 goals in their opening two fixtures to sit top of KL ENGINEERING UNDER-15 DIVISION ONE.
Following their 4-1 opening day victory over Tutbury Tigers, they stuffed Newhall Lions 8-0 with an avalanche of second-half goals.
Joe Condon (2), Mike Jukka (2), Tom Bishop, Aaron Millinchip, George Millinchip and Connor Griffiths all netted in the annihilation.
Belvedere Park beat Tutbury Tigers 3-1 to make it two wins out of two. Kurt Latham, Tyron Meredith and Adam Hammond scored, while Marcus Fox replied.
Winshill are the other team with a 100 per cent record after their 3-0 win at Newhall Cougars which saw Stephen Miller (2) and Tunde Odunowo hit the target.
