A CHURCH congregation enjoyed a tour of past and present places of worship in an East Staffordshire village.
A group of 35 worshippers - led by a donkey called Harry - took part in the Palm Sunday procession from St Mary’s Priory Church, in Tutbury.
The tour stopped at seven holy spots along the route, which included the former Salvation Army barracks and St Christopher’s Roman Catholic Church.
Jane Nuth, who helped to promote the event, said: “It was extremely well received, the sun shone and there must have been 35 people, including children who came and walked.
“We did the tour that we intended and took in the places of worship which took about an hour.
“Then it was back to the church for soup and rolls which again was very well received.
“It was such a success we are planning it again for next year.”
