Burton Albion fixtures 2011-12

BURTON Albion will start the new League Two season with a visit to Torquay United's Plainmoor.

The Brewers will take a trip down memory lane to the ground where they finally sealed promotion to the Football League three seasons ago.

Following the opening match on August 6, Paul Peschisolido's men will host Shrewsbury Town before a second home game against county rivals Port Vale on August 16.

Burton's Boxing Day fixture is away to Northampton Town, who bought Albion star striker Shaun Harrad in the January transfer window.

And their final match of the season, on May 5 next year, will see Barnet arrive at the Pirelli Stadium.
