A NORTH West Leicestershire leisure centre has had its best year to date, attracting hundreds of new members.
Hood Park Leisure Centre in Ashby is owned by North West Leicestershire District Council and has been pulling in new members through 'listening to customers, a range of new top equipment and consistent prices'.
And there are big plans ahead for the centre with a re-launch of gym challenges, weight management classes and taster fitness classes for people thinking about joining, as well as fun runs and events run by teams that train at the centre.
Councillor Alison Smith said: "We're really proud of the improvements we've made to the leisure centres this year. The main thing is that we've listened to our customers and done what they asked – new equipment, improved fitness classes, value for money and a commitment to keep getting better.
"It's no wonder more people are choosing our centres over other fitness options."
