A PUB music festival has been hailed a success by organisers after raising £338 for Cancer Research UK.

The Beer and Music Festival was held at The Navigation pub in Horninglow Road, Burton.

People who visited the outdoor event were greeted with live performances from local bands including an impressive Jam tribute act.

There was also a wealth of real ales on hand for people to enjoy.

The event was opened by Mayor Ron Clarke (pictured, centre), who will present the cheque to Cancer Research in the Mayor's parlour.

Manager of the Navigation Shaun Hallett said: "We had a good selection of bands and singers who gave up their time for the event.

"We want to give a big thank you to them and our staff for making the event possible.

"We also want to thank the community for supporting the event.

"We are hoping to make it bigger and better next year and get all the pubs involved up and down Horninglow.
