A HOME in Horninglow could soon be used to house children in care, if an application to change the use of the building is given the go-ahead by East Staffordshire Borough Council.

Platform Childcare has submitted a request to the planning authority for a certificate of lawfulness to use the property for children in care.

The site, in St Mark's Road, is currently a residential home.

The application was registered with the authority on Wednesday, so anybody wishing to make representations in support of or against the plan has until October 17 to submit it to East Staffordshire Borough Council.

Full details of the application and information about how to make representations are on the council's website.
