PATIENTS at Burton’s Queen’s Hospital are set to be treated to a special gig from a Burton supergroup.
Kitten Pyramid will be performing at the Belvedere Road site on April 21 as part of a link-up with charity Arts for Health in a bid to draw awareness to the idea that arts can have a positive impact on mental health sufferers.
The experimental rockers will also play a gig at the Coopers Tavern, off Station Street, on the same day.
Eleanor Babb, Arts for Health project officer, said: “We are passionate about the importance of the arts in healthcare and the difference this can make to the experiences of our service users and staff.
“We are keen to offer a real range of opportunities and were really pleased when Kitten Pyramid offered to come and play for us.”
The performances will be drawn from the band’s album Uh-Oh! - which was based on one its members efforts to deal with a family who battled mental health difficulties.
The album will be released for the first time in April.
