IAN Bolton set a new personal best (PB) time of 38 minutes, 13 seconds to finish 61st in the Markfield 10k on Sunday and lead his Ivanhoe Runners teammates home.
The second race in this year’s Leicester Road Running Winter League was held in blustery conditions, which added to the challenge of the undulating course.
A 25-strong team from Ivanhoe took on the Markfield race.
Richard Martin was less than a minute behind Bolton, clocking 39:04 to come home 70th.
Martin Yeomans was 120th in 41:09.
The performance of the day arguably came from Kelly Alldread who was fifth lady in her first road race.
Alldread crossed the line in a fine time of 41:37.
Nick Rowles enjoyed a great run to finish 157th overall in 42:35.
Andy Lindley (44:11) was not far behind in 200th, four places ahead of Kev Wright (44:25).
Dave Morse was next home for Ivanhoe Runners, finishing 281st in 47:03, followed by Andy Pawley in 47:47 for 294th.
Sisters Bec Sharpe (48:22) and Ruth Enion (48:23) were 49th and 50th respectively in the ladies’ race.
Julia Blewitt-Jenkins was the final counter for the Ivanhoe ladies, clocking 48:53 for 56th.
Laura Graves was next club runner home, setting a new PB of 49:23 for 344th overall and 60th lady.
The remaining Ivanhoe Runners to cross the line were Duncan Ross (50:10), Ruth Green (50:49), Amanda Bradbury (52:10), Carolyn Osborne (52:48), Victoria Smith (53:08), Karl Savill (54:09), Allie Sutrla (54:18), Emma Kirtland (54:46 PB, Seran Bradley (54:42 PB), Teresa Talbott (55:03), Heather Swan (55:10), Angela Wheeler (58:54 PB).
