A FEMALE stand-up comedian who is a regular on a raft of television panel shows is heading to Burton for a new show.

Jo Caulfield, famous for her appearances on Mock the Week and Have I Got News For You, will take time out of the limelight to play a special show at the Brewhouse, in Union Street, for comedy fans.

The popular comedian also has her own series on Radio 4 (Ooh, get me!) and the date in Burton is part of her 'Celebration of Anger' tour.

A spokesman for the comedian said: "Regularly seen on Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, Have I Got News For You and Mock The Week, Jo Caulfield is one of the UK's finest female comics.

"Recently been nominated as 'the best female stand-up in the country' (Chortle.co.uk) and 'one of the top 100 Comedians' (Channel4), Jo was Graham Norton's head writer for all five seasons of the BAFTA-winning So Graham Norton.

"Her radio shows include The News Quiz, Armando Iannucci's Charm Offensive and The Steve Wright Show as well as her own critically acclaimed Radio 4 comedy show, 'It's That Jo Caulfield Again'."

She will be at the Brewhouse from 8pm on Friday, September 26.

Tickets cost £14 and £12 for concessions.
