ROLL UP, roll up to put your creative skills on show in a circus event aimed at bringing people from all walks of creative life together in one event in September.

Burton-based band Kitten Pyramid is hoping to get as many people as possible to take part in an artists' market at the Brewhouse arts centre to kick off a national programme called the Kitten Pyramid Circus.

Members of the band are on the hunt specifically for fine art-based creative people, especially, specifically sculptors, people working in 3D and textiles, artists in ceramics and mixed media, illustrators, painters and printmakers.

A spokesman for the group said: "They intend rolling this creative circus out across the land and are developing the concept, staging events across the country.

"This is a chance to get on board at an early stage."

On the day of the market, which has been planned for September 27, Kitten Pyramid will be performing in the auditorium and the market will take place elsewhere. There will be support acts and street performers, as well as films running throughout the day.

There will be no charge for the event, and no commission will be charged.

Stalls and tables will be provided, and will be available from 11am until 10pm.

Successful stallholders will be selected by a panel, as spaces are limited on the day.

If the event is a success, it could become a regular feature at the Brewhouse.

Further information is available by calling the Brewhouse box office on 01283 508100.
