AN annual campaign to ensure people in North West Leicestershire stay safe this summer has begun.

The campaign is run by the Leicestershire Anti-Social Behaviour Delivery Group and aims to tackle antisocial behaviour by encouraging people to be safe and enjoy themselves but also to be considerate of others around them this summer.

The group has issued advice to North West Leicestershire residents for a safe summer which includes being drink aware and not letting alcohol ruin a good time, being considerate to neighbours if planning a barbecue or party and being tolerant of young people playing games, but at the same time not suffering in silence and reporting antisocial behaviour by calling the police on 101.

As part of the group's work, schools across Leicestershire have been contacted asking pupils to be respectful and act responsibly whilst on holiday.
