CHEADLE and District Animal Welfare Society's joint Pet Fun Day and Dog show with Rottweiler Welfare Association took place on Sunday, October 6, at Tean Road Recreation Ground, Tean Road, Cheadle.
The event included a fun dog show with two rings and a variety of animals represented, different animal rescue societies, animal care activities and food stalls, plus a variety of other stalls including: Guide Dogs for the Blind, Stafford Wildlife Sanctuary, Pets at Home, as well as the Cheadle Animal Welfare Society and Rottweiler Welfare Association stalls.
The event was organised by the Rottweiler Welfare Association and proceeds were shared between the two organisations.
A spokesman said: "Thanks to everyone who came along and supported our charities on Sunday.
"The weather was really kind to us and the sun shone down on everyone.
"It was lovely to see so many of our ex-rescue dogs there, all looking in such great condition and so very happy with their new families.
"We hope our current boys and girls find great homes like those who we met up with again have.
"Ann and Sharon kindly walked Fletch, Stella and Isaac up to the recreation ground to join in the fun.
"What stars the dogs were. They each gained a first Red Rosette in the class they were entered into; Fletch- best Puppy, Isaac - best Rescue dog and Stella - best Rescue bitch."
