Dog lovers will have the chance to pick up hints and tips on looking after their faithful friends from animal experts at the Paws at Bingley family dog day on Sunday.
Organisers of the event, which is at the Staffordshire County Showground on Sunday 6th October, have lined up a range of public seminars with the help of sponsors Barking Mad Pet Professionals.
As well as the session called ‘Do You Know What Your Dog is Thinking?’ there will be expert help on dog nutrition, understanding dog behaviour, and basic dog first aid should pet owners face an animal emergency at home.
The drop-in bite-sized sessions are free and open to all, and will be delivered by veterinary nurses, who will be available to talk through any specific issues owners are having with their dogs.
Alexandra Baker is Communications Manager at the Pet Care Trust, which has organised the event. She said: “There will be loads of dog experts on hand at Paws at Bingley, including the PDSA, who will be offering free doggie MOTs and microchipping for £15.
“Our top dog groomers will be there to offer advice on keeping your dog’s coat in tip-top condition.
“And there will be fun for all the family, including amazing dog routines, the Creation Station creative workshop in our Kidszone, and the Kennel Club Companion Dog Show – all under one roof!”
Tickets for Paws at Bingley are available from £9 for adults and £4.50 for children (aged 5 to 16) and senior citizens. Under 5’s go free.
Family tickets are also available, at £18 for a family of four.
Parking at the showground is free.
