A BURTON-based brewing giant has revealed that it is releasing a limited edition of its most popular ale.
Marston’s, based in Shobnall Road, revealed that it hopes to have cricket and beer fans alike guessing who said what as part of its new look Marston’s Pedigree bottle to celebrate the summer’s season of cricket.
The brewer has also revealed that is launching a special one-off creation to offer dads the bast Father’s Day present – to get their name on a bottle of the firm’s top drink.
Drinkers will have the opportunity to win signed England cricket team memorabilia and £500 in cash by guessing who said six famous quotes printed on six different Pedigree labels.
Gaynor Green, marketing manager for Marston’s, said: “This is a lovely, fun competition for sports and beer fans to underpin our association with the England cricket team - if only to remember the infamous lines that have generated many an on-air corpse or fit of the giggles.”

The firm also revealed that Pedigree drinkers will be able to order their dad a personalised bottle of Marston’s Pedigree in time for Father’s Day on 1June 15.
Each bottle will have the father’s name printed on the bottle and on the presentation tube for a very special and memorable gift.
The limited offer is available online at www.marstonspedigree.co.uk/fathersday for £9.95 and the purchaser must be able to collect the bottle from one of 22 pubs in Staffordshire and Derbyshire to take advantage of the offer.
