COMMUTERS faced delays this morning when a lorry shed its cargo of tin plates over a roundabout linking two dual carriageways.
The curtained lorry shed its loads over the Toyota roundabout at Burnaston at about 6.20am this morning.
Motorists using the A38 and A50 could have been caught up in the drama.
The vehicle had come from Burton and is believed to have covered large parts of the island with the goods.
A spokesman from Derbyshire Police said: “It was a large area and it was not on the slip road, it was on the island.”
The debris had been cleared by 8.22am.
