LULLINGTON Park have postponed all their games this weekend as a mark of respect to Charlie Veale.
The young Park player, 21, died in a Sheffield hospital this morning after suffering a stroke on Monday.
Park chairman Dave Fern said: "Our whole club is devastated and our thoughts are with Charlie's family."
All of Park's matches in the Derbyshire League and Lichfield Sunday League, as well as the junior Kwik Cricket, due to be played tonight at the Park, have been called off.
“We thank both the Derbyshire Premier League and County League for their understanding at this difficult time, and the other clubs who have agreed readily to the emergency postponements,” said Fern.
