MP backs cops after new figures show that crime has fallen again
THE MP for South Derbyshire has spoken after crime fell yet again in the county.
Heather Wheeler welcomed the news that recorded crime in Derbyshire fell by 22 per cent during the past three years.
She said: “I am delighted to hear that the crime figures have fallen. The figure for Derbyshire over the last year is a marvellous 11 per cent drop, securing reductions for the last three years.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank our diligent and hard work local police officers and probation team who can rightly be proud of their success in cutting crime.”
