BURTON’S MP tucked into a sandwich has he presided over the official opening of a new takeaway in Burton.

Andrew Griffiths was on hand to cut the ribbon at the Lunch Hut, based at the Midland Grain Warehouse, off Derby Street.

A range of food will be on offer from 8am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday.

The hungry parliamentarian wished the business ‘best of luck’ during his visit to the site.

The firm looks set to cash in on footfall from the nearby Travelodge hotel.
