BURTON’S MP was the guest of honour at a reunion of former Bass employees.

Andrew Griffiths took time out of representing the time to meet the worker at the National Brewery Centre.

The guests came from a wide range of departments including brewing, engineering, transport, technology, marketing and accounting.

The group is a long established informal network of ex Bass people who meet for lunch two or three times a year at a location with an interesting history or current excellence and of course a good reputation for food and beverage.

The network is UK wide and lunches have tended to take place in London but at the request of a number of members this was the first specifically aimed at those living in the Midlands and the North.

A spokesman for the event said: “It was a great night and we enjoyed visiting the centre in Burton.”

If people previously worked for Bass and are interested in being on the circulation list of the group, get in touch with Terry Critchley on 07775 430676.
