AN MP is encouraging people to support a band night in aid of a welfare reform charity.
Andrew Griffiths, who represents Burton for the Conservatives, urged them to attend the event at the Tower Brewery, off Wharf Road, from 7.30pm on Saturday, March 2, for East Staffordshire Citizens Advice Bureau.
He said: “The CAB does a fantastic job helping and advising people in Burton when they are in difficulty.
“The band night is a great way to support the CAB and have a fun evening at the same time.”
The CAB said it was holding the band night ‘to raise funds to maintain a high level of service for people across East Staffordshire.”
The evening will feature performances by Fantastik 4, 5 Days of November, The British IBM and The Imposters.
Raffle prizes will include a £150 Molson Coors beer hamper, a flight with Tatenhill Aviation, and four VIP tickets for dinner at a Burton Albion match.
Branston Golf and Country Club, Crescent Motoring Services and Next have also donated raffle prizes.
Tickets cost £4 in advance or £5 on the door and are available from www.ticketsource.co.uk/eaststaffscab, firstname.lastname@example.org or Crescent Motoring Services, in Victoria Crescent.
