Man in seventeenth court appearance

A 40-YEAR-OLD man is due to appear in court for the 17th time over the same offence.

Paul Wilkes, of Ladywell Close, Stretton, has denied receiving stolen goods including breathing apparatus, cans of foam, tools and dog paraphernalia, in Alrewas, between November 7, 2012 and December 12, 2012.

Among the items stolen were a MIG (metal inert gas) welder, breathing apparatus, cans of foam and silicon, a grinder, hammer, a jemmy bar (otherwise known as a small crowbar), crowbars and various dog paraphernalia, totalling £2,900.

Wilkes has also denied stealing two ornamental chairs from Kings Bromley between May 6 and 9 last year.

He is also charged with theft by finding of metal clips, belonging to Drakelow Developments.

Wilkes is due to attend court again on June 18 and 23 and July 1 to stand trial.

He was remanded into custody.
