PUPILS at Manor House School in Ashby were excited to find that one of their classrooms had been transformed into a French restaurant.
Staff surprised the children at the end of term after they had been studying food during their French language lessons.
They were able to enjoy French foods, including baguettes, cheeses, jams and pastries.
They also listened to French music while they ate and got dressed up in berets and other French clothing.
Students at the school thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and helped out by designing and making the menus used as part of the restaurant theme.
The event, which occurs every year at Manor House School, was described by teachers as "a lovely experience for all the children to enjoy."
