THE man in charge of a Burton brewing giant has done his bit for charity by taking part in the ice bucket challenge.

Ralph Findlay, chief executive of Marston's, was nominated to undertake the charity challenge by bosses at the Bull's Head pub, in Main Street, Repton.

The challenge was sent to the top boss via Marston's Pedigree's Facebook page.

Taking time out from leading the company, which has bases in Shobnall Road, Burton, and Wolverhampton, Mr Findlay was drenched with ice filled water by Marston's managing director of inns and taverns, Pete Dalzell and Marston's chief financial officer Andrew Andrea.

After raising more than £300 for charity, he nominated MP Paul Uppal, editor of The Publican's Morning Advertiser Rob Willock; and Carvers Building Products managing director Henry Carver to take on the challenge. All money raised will be donated to MND.
