A MELBOURNE charity has appealed for help ahead of its eighth annual black tie ball this autumn.

Me and Dee, a charity dedicated to creating special memories for the terminally ill, will be holding the ball in October in a bid to raise £5,000 of their annual £22,000 target.

The charity is hoping that volunteers will come forward to join the Me and Dee angels volunteer group or that fund-raisers, who are interested in holding their own events, will get in touch in a bid to try and boos the coffers of the charity.

The masquerade ball will take place at 7pm on October 11 at Burton Albion's Pirelli Stadium.

All enquiries should be directed to Maria Hanson at meanddeecharity
