A LOCAL police officer has found himself needing to brush up on his geography after being caught out by a councillor.
PCSO Craig Thompson tweeted to his 214 followers yesterday: "Walking through the Poets Estate, Newhall, always inspires me to start writing poetry. But then I remember I'm not very good at rhyming."
However, he was corrected by Paul Dunn, who represents Midway on South Derbyshire District Council through a poem: "The Poets estate in Newhall, Is actually in Midway. I hope no-one saw it, Or I'll have to stay away."
The PCSO saw the funny side, replying: "I need to learn where Midway starts and Newhall stops. You'd think I know as I work for the cops."
