APPRENTICES across Staffordshire will have the opportunity to celebrate completing their studies at a graduation ceremony.

The awards have been inspired by university graduations, to give apprentices the same level of congratulations as those finishing degrees.

Staffordshire County Council was one of 19 organisations across the country chosen to host the events.

Ben Adams, learning and skills boss at Staffordshire County Council, said: "Apprenticeships are thriving here in Staffordshire, with almost 10,000 young people enrolling on them last year.

"The new ceremonies will provide the opportunity for apprentices to come together with a real feeling of pride in what they have achieved in their learning."
