EAST Midlands Airport will reveal its new premium lounge in August as part of its £12 million terminal redevelopment programme.

The Escape Lounge will provide a selection of complimentary food and drink, free wi-fi access and a range of newspapers and magazines, for a fee of £18.99.

Andy Cliffe, managing director East Midlands Airport, said: “The Escape Lounge will be a great improvement on our previous executive lounge. The lounge space will almost quadruple in size with more space to relax and an increased food and beverage offer available for our passengers.”

In addition to the lounge, a new security queuing area is now open, marking the completion of the purpose built security hall and two new catering outlets have recently opened, Grab and Fly and Leon.

Grab and Fly provides passengers with f food such as handmade sandwiches.

Leon provides a healthier fast-food alternative using seasonal ingredients.
