NEWSPAPER front pages had been dominated by two pictures during the course of the last few days.
The most shocking was taken in Syria and showed dozens of dead young children, wrapped in white cloth, lined up in a row after an alleged chemical weapons attack.
Whether you have children or not, this shocking and harrowing image should have struck a cord with every single person that glimpsed it, if only for a second.
Thousands of people have now been killed in the bloody battle between the Syrian regime and its own citizens.
Bloodshed is now as much of a daily occurrence as say eating breakfast or reading the daily paper.
It is very hard for us to imagine what it must be like to live in a country where every day people are being killed yet you are supposed to go about your daily life, do your job and still try to live.
The British Government is quite rightly calling for a strong and swift response to the Syria situation before it plummets into a situation of no return.
The other photo that has been making the headlines is one of a completely different nature,
Popstar Cheryl Cole has ‘wowed’ her social network following fans by releasing a picture of her new tattoo - on her bum.
The image shows that the pint-sized singer now has a design from the middle of her back right through to the top of her legs.
In a nutshell, it is horrific.
I am not a fan of tattoos but can see, how on some people, they can look nice and suit.
However, what Cheryl has done looks horrendous and does not set a good example for any of her fans.
