A WOMAN has suffered crush injuries after being hit by a car as she got off a bus in Burton.
She was pinned against the bus in the horrific incident in which a Renault Kangoo hit her just as she was getting off the bus in Princess Way, Stretton, at around 3pm, sandwiching her between the two vehicles.
The stricken woman, thought to be in her 40s, was trapped between the vehicles for around an hour before being airlifted to hospital.
Princess Way was sealed off and an air ambulance landed at the nearby Pirelli Stadium as rescue teams carefully tried to free the injured woman.
A man and a woman were also cut free from the Renault Kangoo and taken to Burton’s Queen’s Hospital.
