FIREFIGHTERS from Burton were called out after a car veered off the road and careered down a ditch.
One crew from Burton Fire Station, in Moor Street, and one from Kingsway, in Derby, were called out to incident at around 11pm on Friday night.
A black saloon car had exited the road and crashed in a ditch on the northbound carriageway of the A38 near the exit to Egginton and Willington.
One man, believed to be in his 20s, was treated by medical staff at the scene.
A spokesman for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The man did not need to be cut out of the vehicle and was tended to at the scene by medical personal.
“The area around the crash site was made safe before firefighters left the scene at around 11.35pm.”
