AN elderly woman had to be rushed to hospital after falling over in a Burton town centre pub.
West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to an incident at around 1pm today afternoon in the Goodridge pub, in Station Street.
They were called to the pub after staff witnessed a female customer fall over inside.
A spokesman for the ambulance service told the Mail: “We can confirm that we received a call from the Burton area at around 1pm yesterday afternoon.
“The call stated that a woman had fallen over and was in need of medical treatment.
“An ambulance and rapid response vehicle were dispatched to the scene.
“On arrival they found that an elderly female had fallen over and decided that she needed to be taken to Burton’s Queen’s Hospital.
“It was believed that she suffered only minor injuries.”
