ONE motorist has been taken to hospital following a second crash on the A38 involving four cars near Burton.
Derbyshire police were called to the scene at 5.30pm yesterday on the slip-road from the A38 to the A50, near Toyota, Burnaston.
The incident involved a Volkswagen Polo, and Audi and two BMWs – one blue and one grey.
Firefighters from Burton and Derby's Kingsway fire station also attended and rescued one person from their vehicle who was trapped due to their injuries. They were treated at the scene.
Two women were complaining of neck pain and one person was taken to Royal Derby Hospital with neck and spinal injuries.
The road was cleared by 7.30pm.
It comes just a day after van driver, Christopher Shaun Parrish, was killed on the same southbound carriageway after his vehicle crashed into a lorry.
