POLICE are increasing patrols in North West Leicestershire as part of a move to tackle antisocial behaviour.
This comes after continued reports of antisocial behaviour across the area started to increase over the past few weeks.
A spokesman for Leicestershire Police said: “We are taking the antisocial behaviour problem in this area very seriously and as a result we are increasing patrols at key times in order to deter people from hanging around.
“We are also working with partner agencies such as the county council in order to provide a comprehensive approach to resolving the problem.
“It is hoped that with continued work in this area, police and partners will be able to educate the people responsible on the affects of antisocial behaviour within the community in order to resolve the problem.”
Anyone with information is urged to call 101.
