PEOPLE keen to make a difference in their local area are being encouraged to apply to become a police officer after Staffordshire’s force made 14 police constable positions available.
The announcement is positive news for the force and is the first time for three years that it has advertised for new recruits.
Mike Cunningham, chief constable at Staffordshire Police, said: “This is an exceptional and exciting opportunity. Staffordshire Police has a proud record of public service.
“But whilst we’re based on traditional values, we’re also a forward thinking force - committed to delivering quality services, being innovative, open and transparent.
“Crime and anti-social behaviour have reduced significantly over recent years and we’re looking for new officers committed to keeping that momentum going.”
Applicants must be at least 18 years-old, be a permanent resident in Staffordshire and need to register their details before 3pm on Friday.
