BURTON Albion supporters are being sought to appear on a long-running television football show this weekend.

The producers of Sky Sports show Soccer AM are looking for a group of eight Brewers fans to don team kit and sit in the ‘Luther Blissett Stand’ on Saturday, engaging in football banter and creating studio atmosphere.

The chosen group will be transported to the Sky studios in Isleworth, Middlesex, just five miles away from Kingston upon Thames, venue for the Brewers’ League Two clash with AFC Wimbledon.

Albion chairman Ben Robinson said: “Although we’ve featured on the show’s ‘crossbar challenge’ before, this will be the first time our fans have been asked to appear.

“Because it is on Sky it means it will get beamed around the world so it’s all good exposure for the club, and I’m sure our shirt sponsor will be pleased.”

Anyone interested in taking part is asked to fill in an online questionnaire including the names, ages and telephone numbers of all eight suggested participants.

They are asked to provide details of their allegiance to the club and any funny or embarrassing stories, and to provide pictures.

The chosen group must also have matching home or away kits and be able to bring two shirts complete with a squad player and number for the show’s wall

The questionnaire and further details can be found online at
