A BREWERY auction has proved to be the most successful event of its type run in Burton.
CAMRA’s National Breweriana Auction took place at Burton Town Hall and saw more than 70 people attend.
The auction included 176 lots with everything from figurines to wall signs.
The most expensive lot was an Ind Coope mirror made in the late 1950s for Burton’s own Crown Inn in Stapenhill.
This mirror sold for more than£300.
But there were plenty of bargains, a Guinness half pint glass goblet, a Morgan’s Gold Medal Ales bottle opener and a Ruddles’ Brewery Horse brass on leather, which all sold for £2 each.
Organiser Bill Austin said: ‘We were delighted with the attendance this year.
“We have been running the event in Burton for a number of years now, it seems an appropriate location for the event.”
