VOTERS in Burton and East Staffordshire will play a crucial role in the county council elections in May, according to the town’s Euro MEP.

UK Independent Party (UKIP) MEP Mike Nattrass said the party must build on its recent successes to get more support in the West Midlands.

He said: “Our election campaign will move towards top gear following UKIP’s recent successes in the Eastleigh, Rotherham, Middlesbrough and Corby by-elections.

“UKIP is attracting more and more support from people who previously voted for the indistinguishable Liberal Democrat, Labour, or Conservative Party, and from those who have never previously voted.

“UKIP is the party listening to the electorate and they are turning to us in ever increasing numbers.

“We are the only party standing up for Staffordshire by opposing HS2 and also calling for the M6 Toll to be nationalised.

“I look forward to joining UKIP leader Nigel Farage on the UKIP election battle bus in the West Midlands.”
