A 23-YEAR-OLD woman has been denied entry to court when she refused to have a shower after allegedly smearing her police cell in faeces.

Homeless African, Sillas Woldenkel, has recently been released from Foston Prison and was arrested some time later for allegedly damaging an ornamental flowerbed belonging to East Staffordshire Borough Council on New Year’s Eve.

After her arrest she allegedly committed three other criminal damage offences on the same night - namely damaging a police car, damaging her police cell, and damaging the floor of her cell. Court clerk, Brian Jones, told the court that she is currently held in a police cell ‘which is now, due to her actions, allegedly in a contaminated state.’ The court was told her solicitor will not go into her cell and she is refusing to give her solicitor instructions through the cell door. Police are refusing to move her to another room because she will be allegedly contaminating the place. Despite her wish to attend court, due to her alleged state she could not be bought into court because ‘it would have to be chemically cleaned’

The court directed not guilty pleas after she refused to have a shower to attend court.

Woldenkel was remanded in custody and will appear via video link next week.
