A BURTON-based housing association has been handed a nationally recognised award for customer service quality.
Trent & Dove Housing, which owns and manages 5,500 properties across East Staffordshire, has again been credited with the Customer Service Excellence standard.
The gong, given out on behalf of the Government to public sector organisations, was handed to Trent & Dove following an assessment of employees and tenants.
In their citation, the assessors said: “It is evident that Trent & Dove continues to put customer service at the heart of its service delivery and that it has an indepth understanding of its customer base.”
Trent & Dove first gained the Customer Service Excellence standard in 2011 and was reassessed one year on to ensure the award’s criteria were still being met.
Alison Millard, the association’s housing needs manager, said: “To achieve reaccreditation for the Customer Service Excellence standard is a fantastic achievement for the organisation.
“We took on board the feedback we received when we initially gained the standard 12 months ago and have improved further.
“We are now fully compliant in all areas and have even been assessed as compliant- plus in two key areas of customer engagement.
“The achievement reflects the commitment and considerable progress we have made to put people first and focus on excellence in delivering services.
“It is testimony to the hard work over a sustained period and the willingness of many staff to go the extra mile.”
Trent & Dove was formed to control the housing stock previously owned by East Staffordshire Borough Council.
The re-accreditation comes just months after Trent & Dove was named one of the top 100 not-for-profit organisations to work for in Britain by The Sunday Times.
