DESERTED houses in Burton and South Derbyshire need of some love and attention have been sold to new owners.
Four homes, as well as an allotment, were sold at an auction in Derby.
The homes going under the hammer attracted a lot of attention, with every house from the area being snapped up.
Properties in Grange Street, Burton, Hastings Road, Swadlincote, Kilburn Way, Newhall, and Bowleys Lane, Appleby Magna, all sold during the sale hosted by Graham Penny Auctions.
The properties, which had been left empty and had fallen into a state of disrepair, will require some TLC from their new owners.
Graham Penny, director at the auctioneer, said: “Properties in and around Burton have always sold well at our auctions but the results achieved this week show just how the property market is picking up and what a diverse range of properties are available in the area.”
