Chameleon joins forces with school for charity event

Written byROB SMYTH

A SOUTH Derbyshire secondary school welcomed another keen cyclist to join in its latest charity challenge.

The Pingle School, in Coronation Street, Swadlincote, saw Buzz Chameleon from Chameleon School of Construction cycling as part of the Around the World in 80 School Days charity bike ride set by Year 11 pupil and fund-raiser Chelsea Neat.

Chelsea told the Mail: “We were delighted when Buzz agreed to come and take part in our latest charity event for Help for Heroes and Sports Relief.

“It’s always great having visitors in school but a large Chameleon walking the corridors is always going to cause a stir in school.”

Jason Duncan, of Chameleon construction, said: “We work closely with the Pingle School and were keen to come and help out with the charity event. We were only too pleased to add a few miles on to the clock.”
