BURTON Kia has donated £200 worth of Christmas decorations to the chemotherapy unit at Burton’s Queen’s Hospital.
A colourful Christmas tree, Christmas lights and other glittery decorations now adorn the Chemotherapy unit, cheering up staff, patients and volunteers and helping to get them into the festive spirit.
Staff at the Moor Street based car company agreed to donate Christmas decorations to the hospital to brighten up the ward for patients that would be spending time in hospital over Christmas.
Graham Large, sales manager at Burton Kia, said: “We all know someone in our family that has been affected by cancer which is why we wanted to donate Christmas decorations to the chemotherapy unit.
“We hope that by donating Christmas decorations we can lift patients’ spirits and put a smile on everyone’s faces.”
A spokesman for the hospital said: “All of the decorations that have been kindly donated will make a real difference to those patients who will be spending time in hospital over Christmas.
“We would like to say a huge thank you to the staff at Kia.”
