A HOMELESS charity is launching a series of coffee mornings in a bid to appeal to the elderly in villages.
Burton YMCA will be visiting villages across East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire getting the message across that an elderly person can be eligible for a food parcel.
Gillian Cox, appeals co-ordinator at Burton YMCA said: “We want people to know we are not just based in the town centre. We want to go out to villages and provide information on what we do.”
The first event will be held at St Mary’s church hall, in Church Road, Stretton, on Tuesday, from 10am.
