College joins group to boost education offering

BURTON and South Derbyshire College have joined a select group of 20 educational institutions, which all offer training and vocational education at the heart of their businesses, to form a new working association called Premier Colleges

Collectively, the colleges will work together to raise aspirations, provide choice of vocational opportunities and provide a vital link from education to employment and have become a premier sponsor of The Skills Show to reinforce this commitment to skills and careers development.

Mark Knight, chairman of Premier Colleges, said: “As a group, we are extremely proud to be a premier sponsor of The Skills Show.

“Further Education colleges are ideally placed to engage with children and young adults about the benefits of vocational education, skills and careers and
