DISABLED college students have completed a wildlife conversation project of building bird boxes.
Students on the learning for life course at Burton and South Derbyshire College will sell the boxes in a bid to raise money to donate to the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC).
The money will go towards conservation work in Staffordshire.
Students on the course will then present the BASC with a cheque at an event at Catton Park, in April.
The work is part of the student’s work awareness and personal progress qualifications.
Margot Nicolle, course leader for learning for life at the college said: “Learners have been enjoying the opportunity to use their creative skills and are delighted to be raising money in support of wildlife conservation.”
Steven Broomfield, of the BASC also visited the college to congratulate the students.
