BUSINESSES and organisations in the area have been getting into the spirit of things to mark Wear it Pink Day as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Staff around Burton and South Derbyshire have donned their finest hues – ranging from salmon to shocking pink – to mark the occasion and raise money for breast cancer charities.
At East Staffordshire Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB), staff took part in the event in honour of a colleague currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
It followed another fund-raising event earlier in the year, when several women working at the site took part in the Race for Life, raising more than £1,200 for Cancer Research UK.
Workers from TC Harrison Ford, in Burton, were also feeling in the pink, as they got dolled up in all manner of pink clothing and accessories.
Tutus, onesies and cowboy hats were among the items worn by staff at the site, on Horninglow Street.
