NEW figures have revealed how much was raised from fines issued to people caught littering in East Staffordshire.
A Freedom of Information request to East Staffordshire Borough Council showed that during 2011-12 it handed out 52 fixed penalty notices.
This helped raise £2,600 to help offset some of the costs spent on street cleaning.
