The county council is looking for more people to become crossing patrol staff with positions available in Etwall and Melbourne.
The roles are open to people aged 18 and over who are able to spare a few hours a week during the morning and afternoon to help children cross the road safely on the way to and from school.
There is no upper age limit and training and uniform will be provided for the role which pays £6.77 per hour.
Simon Spencer, cabinet member for highways and transport at Derbyshire County Council, said: “School crossing patrols play an important role in our communities.
“They give parents peace of mind by helping children cross busy roads - ensuring that children get to school safely, and we offer people the satisfaction of knowing they are making a real difference in their community.”
